Let’s go back in time….
Our farm was originally the farm of the neighbouring chateau.
Building first started on it in 1666.
Our family took over the farm in 1954, originally to grow a variety of cereals, flax, hemp and beet, and to raise cattle.
In 1995we replaced this type of farming by planting our orchard of short-trunked apple trees in the village of Magny-le-Freule, in the Pays d’Auge area.
We have more than 29 000 trees covering an area of 47.5 hectares (475 000 square metres).
To get apples, you have to have an orchard …

In our orchard we grow a number of different varieties of apple that are typically used in cider-making - Cidor, Douce Coët, Douce Moën, Fréquin Rouge, Bisquet, and Petit Jaune.
We work on the reasoned farming system, which aims to produce a regular crop of quality fruit while staying close to nature. For example, we have installed what are called “auxiliary insects” that are the natural predators of the insects that are harmful for our orchard. As a result, we are able to cut down considerably on the use of phytosanitary products. We keep a very careful eye on our orchard all the time.
Taking the weather into account is also an essential factor in reasoned farming.
